Masters Leadership
Masters Leadership Wilkes-Barre begain in 2000 as a Core Program group project. It is designed for retired and semi-retired individuals in the Northeastern Pennsylvania community who are interested in becoming reacquainted with the community and its issues and want to become more involved in volunteer efforts. Masters Leadership Wilkes-Barre is held every year in the fall. The program is comprised of five sessions conducted on consecutive Wednesday mornings/afternoons. Sessions include presentations and question/answer periods on topics such as local history, political structure, educational opportunities, arts & culture, economic development, volunteer opportunities and more. The cost to attend Masters Leadership is $100.
Program Objectives
- Provide you the opportunity to learn about the many revitalization efforts ongoing in our area.
- Inform you about local cultural and recreational resources.
- Provide you the opportunity to interact with a cross-section of local civic and government leaders.
- Introduce you to other classmates who share a common interest in learning about our area.
- Help if you are interested in becoming involved with the community by matching your interests to an organization or activities.
